Late Shri Ajith Kumar – Visionary Founder

Late Shri Ajith Kumar (27 August 1934 – 1990) was an visionary, educationist, yogi, and social reformer whose life was dedicated to the service of society. A distinguished Gold Medallist in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bengaluru, he chose a path of selfless service over a promising professional career.

Born in the village of Gudibande, near Bengaluru, to Shri Brahma Suraiah and Smt. Putta Tayamma, Shri Ajith Kumar was deeply inspired by the ideals of nation-building and social transformation. In 1980, he founded Hindu Seva Pratishthana (HSP) and served as its Founder Director, laying the foundation for an organisation that continues to serve society with dedication and compassion.

A lifelong bachelor and full-time social worker, Shri Ajith Kumar devoted every moment of his life to uplifting the underprivileged. His philosophy of service was beautifully encapsulated in the principle: "Concern for all, attachment to none." This ideal became the guiding force behind his work and continues to inspire the activities of Hindu Seva Pratishthana.

A visionary with remarkable foresight, Shri Ajith Kumar pioneered several innovative social initiatives aimed at empowering the disadvantaged, particularly children and youth. His dream of building a society rooted in service, character, and compassion gave birth to Hindu Seva Pratishthana, which remains his enduring legacy.
