At Aruna Chetana School, education extends far beyond the classroom. The institution remains committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where children with special needs can learn, grow, and achieve their full potential. Through awareness programmes, international collaborations, and participation in sporting events, the school continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of its students.

Promoting Safety Through the "Suvidha Suraksha" Workshop

Creating a safe learning environment is one of the core priorities at Aruna Chetana School. As part of this commitment, teachers participated in the "Suvidha Suraksha" workshop, conducted under the aegis of the Department of Women and Child Welfare and the Department of Senior Citizens Empowerment.

The training was facilitated by Enfold Proactive Health Trust, a social organization that has been working for more than 22 years to protect children and women from sexual abuse through a comprehensive and holistic approach.

The one-day workshop was specially designed for teachers from NGO-run special schools and included the distribution of educational material kits. The programme focused on:

  • Building awareness about sexuality education for children with disabilities.

  • Teaching personal safety concepts in an age-appropriate manner.

  • Equipping educators with effective tools to guide and support vulnerable children.

  • Strengthening child protection practices within special education settings.

The workshop reflects Aruna Chetana's ongoing commitment to safeguarding the well-being, dignity, and rights of every child while empowering teachers with practical knowledge and resources.
